What is Drostanolone Enanthate

Drostanolone Enanthate is an anabolic & androgenic steroid which undergoes no aromatization (no conversion to estrogen). Drostanolone Enanthate is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and due its anti-estrogenic properties it showed great ability to block the receptor that binds estrogen.

Estrogen is the human hormone secreted by women; the hormone is responsible for development of feminine sexual characteristics. When the estrogen levels are stopped by this hormone, the chances of getting breast cancer are lowered, therefore, the drug was first used in breast cancer therapy for women in post-menopausal period. For best results in combating cancer, Drostanolone Enanthate was combined with the SERM (Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulator) and Tamoxifen.

Moreover, the drug shows great effect on athletes and bodybuilders who need to retain strength while losing mass. The drug is mostly used by athletes who need to remain in a weight class while gaining muscle strength. Because of these beneficial effects, Drostanolone Enanthate is quite popular among sportsmen & bodybuilders and is often recognized under its trade name Masteron Enanthate.  Drostanolone Enanthate is almost identical to Drostanolone Propionate, the only differences are that an ester is attached to Enanthate, and that is that Propionate acts faster.

How to use Drostanolone Enanthate

Drostanolone Enanthate is known to be actively used by both men and women, although the drug is not recommended to be taken by women who aim to gain muscle. Usually, the drug comes in injectable form and the dosage depends on personal goal and health condition.

It has been established that if using the drug in injectable form (most common form), a dosage of about 300 to 500 mgs per week for men would be enough for a good ratio of benefits/side effects. It also has been established that Drostanolone Enanthate ester's active life is about a week, so a new dosage should be injected 1-2 times per week, therefore, the usual dosage is 200 mg a day. Because of their body weight, female users are recommended to have a dose anywhere between 50 and 200 mg per week, which means that it should be administered all at once.

The lengh Drostanolone Enanthate should be used depends on personal goals, but it is advised that one should NOT exceed 8 weeks. The drug can be, and is also recommended to be stacked with other steroids such as: T3, Clebuterol, Anadrol, Dianabol or Trenbolone Acetate and many others.

Side effects of Drostanolone Enanthate

Due to the fact that Drostanolone Enanthate doesn't aromatize, it excludes unpleasant side effects that many steroids users can experience. These negative effects that are common for other steroids but out of risk for Drostanolone Enanthate include: water retention that many athletes and bodybuilders try to avoid, gynecomastia and dangerously increasing blood pressure.

However, as any other steroid, Drostanolone Enanthate has some side effects such as: significant effect on cholesterol (increases LDL (bad) and decreases HDL (good) cholesterol), decreased sex drive, oily skin, unusual body or/and facial hair growth, unusual hair loss and unusual aggression.

There are some bad effects characteristic to women: enlargement of clitoris and deepening of the voice. Other side effects are not medically listed.
