What is Proviroxyl

Proviroxyl by Kalpa Pharmaceuticals is a synthetic androgen with non-anabolic action. Proviroxyl is used to treat or reduce the damages caused by deficiency of male sex hormones. Therefore, many athletes use Proviroxyl at the end of steroid treatment to restore the body's production of testosterone. However, this is wrong, since Proviroxyl has no effect on the function of natural testosterone. It just reduces or completely eliminates the dysfunctions caused by the testosterone deficiency. Such dysfunctions include decreased potency mainly caused by lack of androgens, which are often observed after steroid treatment, and infertility which is reflected in a decrease in the number and reduce sperm quality. So Proviroxyl is used during or after steroid treatment for the treatment of low sexual desire. It does not affect the preservation of strength and muscle mass after the course. For this purpose, there are other drugs. Unlike Tamoxifen which only blocks the estrogen receptors, Proviroxyl prevents the aromatization of steroids and successfully blocks the development of gynecomastia and the accumulation of excess fluid in the body. Since Proviroxyl strongly suppresses the production of estrogen, after you stop using this drug you will not feel the opposite effect as, for example, with Tamoxifen, which does not prevent the aromatization of steroids. The drug makes the muscles hard since the androgen level is increased and the estrogen concentration remains low. This is particularly effective during preparation for a competition in conjunction with sports diet. In females, the estrogen level is higher, so athletes often additionally take Proviroxyl during steroid courses to get strong and solid muscle.

How to take Proviroxyl

Proviroxyl is a very effective drug, so men usually take 50 mg per day. Typically, athletes taking one tablet of 25 mg in the morning and another one in the evening. Sometimes only one 25 mg tablet per day is enough. Combining Proviroxyl with Tamoxifen, one can almost completely suppress the formation of estrogen.

Proviroxyl at a dosage of 2-3 tablets daily rarely causes adverse effects in men. Therefore, this drug in combination with a steroid course can be taken for a few weeks practically with no risk.

Side effects of Proviroxyl

Proviroxyl is well-tolerated by the liver, so when normal doses there are no liver dysfunctions. For those athletes who are accustomed to act on the principle of "the more is the better", reception of Proviroxyl can cause paradoxical effects. In this case, the most common side effect is an obvious symptom of increased sexual stimulation and in some cases prolonged erection. This condition can be painful and even cause injury. The only solution in this case will be reduction in dose or even a complete cessation of its reception.
